Depends on the method of recovery. If you selectively precipitate, gold can be recovered first, or the platinum. I made the decision based on the difficulty of eliminating the dragged down contaminants. It's much easier to wash precipitated gold without loss than it is to wash platinum and palladium recovered chemically.
