Goran, Thank you for a response. I'm drying out the sample now. I've done all the other tests and there is no gold left in solution. I'm boiling it off (slowly, so it doesn't splash). The 1,0L beaker went down less than an inch after going all day. It will take me a while, but I think there will be a good pot of gold at the end of this brown rainbow :mrgreen:
 
I think there is more colloidal gold occurring than you might think. I remember a batch where I treated some material in AP (badly named) solution, for a long time, and ended up with a mysterious black liquid that I eventually discovered was indeed colloidal gold. I think it happened because I left the bubbling leach reaction go too long.

It all led me to realize I should keep an eye out on potential colloids. I almost threw it out into my waste solution, but figured out how to process it. I'll see if I can find that old post. :idea:
