Ralph jewellery especially Victorian jewellery frequently had small rose gold inlays but what 4metals is alluding to is the flatware and jewellery in general, much silver tableware had gold plating that as you know without a nickel barrier will migrate over time into the item and the cost of recovery for the traces of gold in mined silver simply wasn't cost effective at the time unlike today, long live the anode bag 8)
