Thanks I just don't understand the chemical abbreviations lol. I took chemistry in high school but that was some years back. I've been researching gold recovery for awhile and I alway end up on this forum and when reading the threads everyone is very helpful so I decided to go ahead and join.I am sure you are exaggerating. Thank you I will ask before I try anything. I know when dealing with chemicals and especially mixing them anything could happen. So I want to ensure that I'm not goingFirst off, Welcome to GRF.
As for chemical abbreviations I knew none when I first joined the forum. Over time with reading and learning, some of them become ingrained enough to understand what is happening in a reaction. It does take time and as 4metals mentioned, ask before trying as this allows someone time to give more personal guidance before making any mistakes.
Cause any harm to myself and make harmful fumes that could harm anyone. I don't know why I wasn't able to put that with the first reply lolFirst off, Welcome to GRF.

I also took chemistry in high school, and majored in it in college and grad school. But none of that prepared me for refining. Sure, I knew what the formulas meant, but books about the relationships between scrap types and chemicals were few and far between. All of what I learned about refining was from doing it (granted I knew how not to kill myself) but no-one sat me down and explained it. In fact until I stumbled on to this forum when it was already 2 years old, there was no place where people spoke openly about refining and how to do it. And even today the GRF is unique for the way we are able to help members attain their goals. It will require reading and work on your part but all of the information is available here, but if you put in the work, and ask questions when in doubt, you will succeed because even though you said it in your first post, I don't believe that you are not that bright! Thanks I just don't understand the chemical abbreviations lol.
