I was very direct in this thread when I first posted. It seemed at the moment to me that Bodyworkz may have had an agenda when in 2 posts (being a new member) he may have been representing a particular refinery. My intent was not to be accusatory, but to ask for clarification putting his reply “on the record”.
To his credit he replied in a professional manner.

Oz, Bodyworkz isn't a new member - he was here near the beginning, in '07. There seemed to be some concern then of the validity of the info posted there on his site.
The best I can determine is that his website was mentioned on this forum that far back, however he has been a member here only recently.

Deception as a first step sure doesn't promote the image of honesty as a refiner or ethical business practices. Makes me sad.
I was not sure there was any deception. I only wished to invoke a reply that would be on the record as to his intent and associations.

Even though i don't really know the motives of this guy (Bodyworkz), I find it very hard to believe that a reputable company (of any field) will behave like suggested above.
This has indeed happened in the past on this forum, sad to say.

I had no motive other to see if anyone else has used NTR in the past.
I did not enter there web address using the url tab, I thought it would just be text.

This is all I was looking for. Thank you for your professional reply.

That's when I came across this post. Normally, I'll won't get into it with another member, but for some reason this just really irked me.
It would irk me as well if I was in your position. You have every right to defend the company you work for when confronted with comments that are derogatory.
For the record, I have never done business with Matt. I will also note that he has been on this forum for some time and I do not recall anyone that was dissatisfied with his payment on material sent to him.
That is about as close as I get as to recommending a buyer for a forum member looking to sell their gold. I do not recommend places to sell your values (at least on open forum) because how I am treated by them may be different than how you are.

He's on thin ice as I type this reply. I don't like his attitude, and I'm particularly unimpressed with his misinformation and reluctance to learn anything. I see a dim future for him on this forum.
If you'd like me to take immediate action, just ask, Fournines.
Harold
Harold, I would like to ask your indulgence in this matter. I would like to see how things shake out in this thread. I will respect any decision/action you have of course. But as long as Bodyworkz is willing to apologize or retract statements when he finds he is in the wrong, and remains polite and professional, I would like to hear what he has to say.

I don't know about this site, seems like everyone here is on the attack mode.
Yes indeed, I can see why you took the things that have been said here in that way. The forum is all about holding people accountable for their statements. It is all about free information to anyone that wishes to refine precious metals and the elimination of inaccurate information or procedures found outside of this forum.
If you read here for a while you will even find that some of us moderators do not always agree with each other as to a certain procedure or chemical reaction. There is often no one right way to do something. As long as we are stating our opinions based on the actual performance of the procedure in question, we are man enough to agree to disagree. Being clear, I would doubt Harold or GSP would be very welcoming of my opinion if I disagreed with them publically, yet had no practical experience in what I was promoting.
Bodyworkz, you are in a rather compromising position since becoming a member here. Because this forum is so popular due to its accurate content, it is hard to do a Google search on anything precious metal related and not have us show up in the first 10 results. By you becoming a member here under the name of your website you are forever linked to the comments on this forum by anyone looking for your website or name.
My advice for you would be to stick around and learn a bit. I am not saying you are without knowledge, but some members here have spent a lifetime refining and still learn more being an active participant here. It could only help you to improve what you have on your website and it very possibly may expand what you know and your readership. We may also be a beneficiary in that you may teach us something of the work-arounds you promote to those without good chemical access.
For good or bad, your website and name is permanently linked to the gold refining forum. Make of that fact what you will, it is your choice. Maybe you choose to never post here again, maybe you see the advantage of being an active participant.
For the record, I am aware that I can be too direct in my statements (lack of political correctness). To your credit your reply shows that you understand that my job as a moderator is to look out for the forum membership at large. To reiterate what I said in another thread, we would be more than happy to welcome you into the fold here to all parties benefit. We do have rules however, most deal with mutual respect, then the ability to be held to account for what you post and reply politely.
