I have been debating on getting a cheap photo-spectrometer and am wondering if it’s easy to determine concentration of gold dissolved into solution.
I’ve been assaying with acid for a while now during my prospecting and am hoping to tell if gold is leaching into solution from manganese oxidizing the gold in sulfuric solution.
I probably could just dip a copper rod into solution and see if gold will replace the copper based on the metal reactivity scale.
