In your video where you are processing your gold fingers, you said that some of the gold went directly into solution and you would drop it from the solution later with SMB. DId you do anything to the solution after filtering the gold particles out of it before treating with SMB or did you just add SMB directly to that solution?
 
I think most of us here that use the AP method reuse the solution. If you are reusing the solution, there is no need to drop the Gold from it as it will precipitate the dissolved Gold as a dark colored powder as Copper goes into the solution. When it is totally saturated with Copper, let the powder settle to the bottom of the container, then siphon off the liquid to recover any Gold that has precipitated.
