Hey, I've had success with these in AP but, I haven't been able to get the corners to budge. I even tried cutting them up. The corners are gold aren't they? Thank you for any suggestions. -Andrew

The outer surface of the component is likely coated with some form of clear coat or protective layer that prevents the AP from penetrating the part.

I would recommend shredding or incineration if you are set up for it.
