reducing pdo to pd

i need help and sugestions to reduce pdo powder to pd-----all the rh that i obtain is heavelly contaminated with pdo-----

Dilute nitric acid will easily remove PdO.

thanks Samuel,i will give a try with dilute nitric----i thought nitric would oxidize and not reduce.

Nitric will further oxides PdO to it's nitrate, not reduce it.

This way you can separate it from your Rh as it will not react.

Your welcome, Let me just add that:

the nitric leach will work much better when slightly heated.

PdO will also be readily dissolve in straight HCL 32% at room temp'
If choosing HCL and suspect that also Pd metal is present, after one hour or so that you leached the PdO in HCL (stir good), add nitric acid to form AR. this will still leave Rh un-touched when done at room temp' and will take care of PdO and Pd.
