You're paid on the copper at the full market price (less their deductions per tonne, which are not onerous) and this usually pays for all your refinery fees/transport etc.

I'm in the midwest near Cincinnati Ohio, Louisville Kentucky, and Indianapolis Indiana. About 300 miles from Chicago. I lived near Chicago in the '90s and delivered to Behr and to Handy & Harmon, toll refiners in the area. I've thought about contacting Behr again.
