Hi all. I've had my silver cell running 8 days now and was wondering if it's time to change the dacron filter in the anode basket. I've got the voltage set at 3.5v and the amperage is about 1.6 amps. It's been in that range since I started. Just wondering if there is some signs to look for indicating a clogged filter. I've heard the amps will drop off when it's clogged up. Any tips would be appreciated.

When posting images, please use a generic format like .jpg or .png
The high resolution formats do not show on the forum.

It stems from the use of vacuum cleaner bags in some videos, I think. Also some think dacron is reusable multiple times and therefore saves money.

If you don't disturb your filter, one layer of a tight weave muslin will work. If you tend to move the filter as in lifting the basket holder to see the crystals fairly often, you might use two. Changing filter material can alter your power settings to some degree so be sure to double check it is in the range your looking for.

There is something wrong with your image files, they can not be opened with my windows machine either.
Please replace them with either .jpg or .png files.

I usually lift the basket twice a day to check the crystal growth. Is this too much? I also add shot at that time.
Do it gently and it should be ok. It really depends on the particular weave of the cloth. Mine was trial and error and I found the typical cloth from Walmart need a double layer, but by disturbing it less I could get away with one.
