Hello Everyone. Im new to this. What temperature do I use to melt and pour 14k gold from a crucible in a furnace into a mold? Also, what temperature do I heat the mold to? Im making 14k gold "kit kat" bars. This will be the first time doing this. If there is any links to other posts that would really help me out as a first time melter, feel free to post them to me also. Thank You!

I'm adjusting my furnace to 980 C and get full melt without a problem.

The mold, i never checked the temp' but i guess anywhere between 150-250 C is ok.

Ok thanks. Couple questions.

Do you bring the crucible to that temperature before putting in the gold?

How long do you leave the gold in the furnace for before pulling it out to pour into the mold?

After you pour into the mold, do yo ujust leave it sitting there untill it cools off and hardens or do you empty it into cold water?
