What about doing things with leaches that are used in the industry?
There usually are reasons for a technique to not be used, especially if they are cheap.
If I remember correctly, this was brought up early in this thread.
Because thiosulphate is safe compared to acids and cyanide. Creates h2s and sulphur dioxide gas. Lot easier to deal with than nitric oxide and chlorine gas. And it works. Been electrowinning my silver today and it's gained about 8 grams already.

Nice 1 mate, what's your mix you are using? are you heating the solution or just leaving it for few days?
 
Heating it to around 100 F. Stinks a little but it works..
Ok thanks will give it a try when I get free time I never heated maybe that's my problem. Did you end up using some ammonia sulfate aswell or did you just stick with ammonia as the main component? I have still got that little gold bead just sitting in the solution and hasn't even changed or reduced in size at all🍻 🤣

I am doing silver mainly. No ammonia. Just thio and copper sulfate.
