So after my second filtration I've got a rainbow.
Thoughts? Could it really be that high concentration pd?

Apologies.
Hot hcl bath twice to remove any lead/tin/x
Complete rinses.
In nitric:
Circa 1957 caps(incinerated, reduced,sifted)
And what I thought were silver on copper pins. Although, 130g or so of said pins were not an alloy/plate but appeared nothing like pt/pd stannous did hit on pt And pd when pins in question were desolved (15g pins in hot nitric and only pins) but when in solution with caps sn2 went from no pd to...

Now that I think about it, I was low on space so I poured off filtration of my first run in to this vessel (all materials came from same machine) which contained 400g of this board(contents unknown)

As far as I can see on screen, there is no values in there.
Dissolved copper that's it.

What is the origin of the source?
Any reason to expect valuables?

You said caps as in capacitors?
What kind, how old and so on.
Modern mlcc, do most of the time not contain precious metals.

We need more information to get a more complete picture of what is happening here.

because your solution is green - which is also the color of a stannous test for Pd - instead of doing your stannous test in a spot plate - do this ------

put two "different" drops of your solution on a filter paper - then on one of those drops - put one drop of stannous

take a pic of that & post & tell us which of those drops is the solution "only" & which one is the solution plus stannous

Also - because solution can (often) be green - & Pd stannous tests are green - you can get false positives for Pd when testing with just stannous

Therefore - as a refiner - you should always have DMG in your tool box for testing with to confirm Pd when you think stannous is telling you have Pd

As a refiner of PMs - DMG is a MUST have in order to confirm Pd when you think it's Pd - it will save you from chasing your tail because you think stannous says Pd

Go on line & get it (DMG)

once you get it - this is the way to prepare it for testing
