I am looking at using a Moebius cell to refine copper from cementation of copper from AP. I would also like to add some copper pins that are plated with gold along with other plated items. Is this a good way to recover gold rather than using the AP and A/Cl possesses?

I plan to use the copper (with zinc) to cast bells. I plan to use the gold in the slimes for fun and profit!

look for rusty's post about the subject. he uses copper nitrate as the electrolyte and cast his own anodes. he messed one up and the copper cooled in the crucible creating a twenty pound anode shaped like a bell.

By "Moebius", I assume you mean "vertical". The term, "Moebius cell" only applies to a silver purification cell, patented by Moebius in 1884.

Were I you, I would use the standard copper sulfate cell (vertical, of course) that has been used for 100 years to purify almost all of the copper there is. If you use iron to cement the copper, the zinc (from things like pins) stays in solution and the cemented copper ends up fairly pure (if you can rinse it well). The copper from fingers is almost pure to start with. For these reasons, you might have a good chance of getting an acceptable cathode deposit (the most important thing) from making a cell out of this waste. Here's a link for the formula.
