Very fine powder Vs. Grains

My precipitated gold always drops as very fine powder, it settles quickly but its hard to wash, catch or torch and i've seen video's where the gold was big enough for my powder.
Am I missing something, or its the HCL-CL method ?
I did batches of fingers, pins and i've the same very fine powder !

From my experience, the more gold in the solution, the beter it came down and settled in clumps... the less saturated the finer the gold was and slower to come down.
