I made a nitric solution,put in this solutio 440grams of the thick pins.Imediately i obtained the gold foils--i filtered the foils out,and put it in ar to obtain the gold---to the nitric solution i added Hcl,imediatelly formed silver choride--The pins was gold and silver,not berilyum bronze-tomorow i will test for palladium(the nitric solution) and see how many grams of gold and silver was obtained from 440grams of pins--Regards to all Arthur

My guess is from just over 4 grams a kilo.
No picture was given but just because you said they are from aircraft.

You guessed right, 1kilo produced 4,54grams of gold and40grams of silver--perhaps some paladium(i will know tomorrow)

I bought 200 pounds of scrap canon plugs and found that the yield varies on the diameter of the pins. Usually around 0.75% to 1.75% on the thinner pins. The thickness of the the silver under the gold is about the same thickness as the gold. The silver yields 1-2 grams per pound with the highly controversial hot sulfuric 80C and nitric acid method. BTW do not try the silver stripping solution, it is very dangerous and needs proper PPE and ventilation. As said many times on this forum do not attempt

Nice. Over $300 of gold and over an ounce of silver per kilo. Definitely well worth it.
