Thanks for the info Matt,

What, no homing pigeons?
What type of assays do you do?

Mark

No homing pigeons, they keep trying to build nests in our crucibles...

We do fire assays and ICP analysis.

Matt,
Not to get technical but, I'm interested in your assay procedures for rh.
Are you using a "standard fire assay" with lead, to determine the rh value?
If so, are you assaying your slag?
The standard line is, " if it won't cupel, ... it wont sell".
I'm sure that you, and alot of members here get my drift.

What is the minimum amount of material that can be sent to your company for "refining"?

Mark

Now i remember you Fournines ? Republic Metals .
What's the name of this new company ?

Matt,

I'm interested in 'testing the waters' with a once refined ~20 gram button of platinum obtained from 95% pure medical scrap starting material, what kind of fee's could I expect, final payout percentage of spot, and how long before I would see a check?

Here's the button:

Mark,

I'm going to have to get back to you on this early next week. One of our assay specialists, who has been doing this stuff for over 30 years, is out sick and it doesn't look like he'll be back till Monday. He handles most of our rhodium material, so I want to get his expertise in answering the question.

We don't have a minimum amount of material for refining, I can provide pricing on any size lot.

I spoke with our head assayer and he gave me a quick breakdown on how we assay for RH.

We do a potassium pyrosulfate fusion, and then dissolve the fusion in HCL which ensures the RH goes into the solution. Then the solution is put into our ICP for analysis. Each test is done in triplicate for quality assurance.

He told me that a traditional fire assay will not give good results for RH, so we will only use ICP for that kind of metal.

I have not seen any post here lately, but here is my report:

I sent in a 1oz plus button of gold to Matt and SO Accurate Group about two weeks ago. It was processed in two days with the check going out the third day. As each purchase is different, I will not go into the exact details other than to say that I got a very good % of spot for the day and received a check for over $900.00.

Only problem was our great Postal system taking a week to get the check to me.

Thanks Matt.

If anyone is interested in selling their refined (or unrefined) gold, silver, platinum, palladium, etc. Please contact me.

I'd like to thank oldtimmer for having the confidence to trust us with the transaction - as you see he was quite pleased with the outcome. I know that we can do the same for anyone else who wants to sell their material.

Send me a PM or give me a call 212-465-8082.

Thanks,

Matthew
