Non-Chemical whole chips

has anyone ever just removed the metal caps from chips and just done them wholesale in ar?
i ask as i think that when i did my last lot of chips there was a hell of a lot of solder in the mix.
and im thinking that the solder base dosnt get exposed.
or do the pins fall off anyway in the mix?

the pentiums im thinking of withe copper caps,i just keep getting ideas and looking a round and not finding.
but i just found a video on you tube of an indian company who do this,the pins come off but still have to be treated with ar after anyway.
