Hi all,

Just a quick question, is Gold filled material processed the same as gold plated material? thanks

No it is not. Please start reading and searching the forum a bit before asking questions.

The better your questions, the better we can help you. It should go without saying that if your knowledge is such as to be able to ask good questions, you will be in a position to be able to make use of the answers.

Okay, is it possible to process gold filled material in an electrolytic cell?
Possible? Yes. Advised? NO.
Electrolytic cells work best for plated items.Filled items have a much thicker layer of gold, and sometimes contain silver, which you will want to recover.
One of our moderators has a nice DVD about processing gold filled items http://goldrecovery.us/pricing.asp
Try to remember to use the search window at the top.I know it can be frusterating sometimes, not being able to get the answers right away, but I promise you young man,you will retain the knowledge better,if you locate the answers on your own.Sometimes you may run into one of those questions that is just hard as heck to find an answer for,if so let us know and we will get right on it.
