To what "oddity" may you reffer to? the foam?

We had a user here before claiming the gold had dissolved in his sulfuric cell... this issue had never resolved as far as i know...

The foaming is a nornal part of the process.
Though yours does look a little more aerated (larger bubles) than I have seen.
All should be well as long as the reverse electroplating is doing as it is supposed to.

Are you using a drain cleaner, concentrated battery electrolyte or pure sulfuric acid :?:

Liquid Fire (?) Brand sulfuric-based drain cleaners, I believe, for one, has added surfactants/soaps/other additives which can cause foaming.

Check the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for your brand and product.

just a quick question do you have a pic of the whole cell only from what i can see in the pic the cage sides are to high i think you may have created a faraday cage

Sorry, I was in a hurry. The oddity, is the piece on the left. It is a set of lights from a cell phone with one of the lights ON. The cell works fine as far as I can tell.
