I really hope I uploaded the pictures correctly. Anyways, thanks snowdog, this was just a small portion from bottom of bag. I have yet to crush anything but my wife said there was one little fleck attached to quartz.

Very interesting thread! What is the smallest size anyone has crushed this to for extraction? I'm wondering how microscopic the gold might be in the quartz. I know we can see the big pieces but what about pieces to small to see i'm wondering?

I have crushed & screened to 80 mesh & from what I can see with my 10 X loop thats not fine enough - looks like you need to go at least 150 or 200 mesh

Kurt

I have not bought any of this material, but I can say with some certainty that a crush to 100 mesh may not be small enough. Having sampled many tailings dumps (not waste dumps at the mine, but rather mill dumps from after crushing, milling, etc.) I find that when the ore was crushed to 200 mesh or smaller, I could find little or no recoverable gold. When 100 mesh tailings were encountered, enough gold could be recovered to make it worthwhile.

I got my small flat rate box of sean's ore, sooner than expected. I did find some pieces with exposed gold but these old eyes needed a 20x loupe to see them. I put those aside.
I did crush almost half in my 3 inch manual crusher. harder than expected, then panned about 2 tea spoons of crushed ore and found at least 8 specks of gold. I do think I still need to crush finer to extract more flower gold. I will try to recrush and repan and report my results.

For the few orders I have packed and ready to ship, they'll go out tomorrow guys. I'm just waiting on the funds to ship them. Also tomorrow I am going to go get more material, tracking numbers will be sent by pm tomorrow evening. Sorry for the delay!

If anyone needs a tracking number let me know, I know I forgot to give one person tracking. But all has shipped. I used a private mail depot the other day, paid extra for tracking. Yet they didn't tell me which was which. Hell, I'll just post tracking #s here.

So if I haven't sent you a tracking, check one of these two numbers.

Any of you who wants any of the quartz gold cons, now is the time to get them. I will be completely out by end of the week, and the easy awesome stuff is gone from my sweet spot. I have more to get nearby, it'll just be twice the work, lol.

So I am going to sell the 20 lb large flat rate boxes of quartz gold cons til end-of-friday Alaska time. After that I will reduce bulk order sizes to five or ten lbs. I've had quite a few locals buying it, I am not going to sell anything local anymore. Rather I will sell to those who don't have the option of running up the road to huge tailings piles and getting whatever they can. I am working hard to make sure everyone gets quality material. I am not salting, at most I might crush some.

Yesterday I went on a 17 hr round trip to an interesting spot, also an old mining operation. I may go back up next week to get a large amount of material, we got rained out yesterday!

I'll add pics to this thread tonight and chance for a few of you to try some out fairly cheaply. Good material, a lot of colors and flakes. Also gemstones, these cons are pink! I was told a few years ago that white diamonds are also in the creek. However I am poor at identifying diamonds. For gold bearing material, it is of unusual substance!

Just want to say that I ordered a sample of Sean's quartz cons on Aug. 9th. After about a week I checked the tracking number Sean had given me to find that the package had been delivered to an address in South Carolina- I live in northern California. So, I contacted Sean and he told me he would send another package to me, and here it is three days later and I received today the package I ordered. Thank you Sean for taking care of this very quickly. Mistakes happen and good people take care of them quickly- which is exactly what Sean did. I submit this post to show that not all things that initially appear to be a bad thing need to turn out to be a bad thing. There are a lot of good and honest people here on the forum, unfortunately we usually only hear about the deals which have gone bad.

Thank you Sean for leading by example!

Dennis

Your most welcome! Show us some pics from the sample, I remember sending you some good material in both. I forgot who it was I sent the other to in SC, he should be happy!

A buddy and I have been hitting a nice lil glory hole over the past few weeks. Anyone who doesn't want to mess with crushing rocks all day, this material is placer gold. Though it came from the same district as my quartz cons, it is 40 miles on the other end. So despite these cons being placer gold mainly, I would reckon one would still get more gold by crushing. Since the creek runs by a lengthy stretch of road. In fact none of this is even coming from a claim. We did a great deal of test panning and test sluicing. The results are what you see. If anyone wants any, just order from my site or pm me.

Panning is about to begin!

Small shovel load

Panning well under way

A lot of black sands. There was a lot of smaller gold as well in there. It was hiding beneath those black sands! I did not finish this pan-out because my buddy wound up with both my handy test pans. I used that giant pan which wore me out! There's a lot of gold in this material like there was also in my quartz gold cons (I still have a nice stash of the quality quartz cons). Those of you who would rather work with black sands or normal placer gold, then this material is up your alley.

Hey Everyone,

I'm doubling the size of all my placer gold cons. They are good quality and guaranteed.
By late October/early November I'm going to be working a new job and I am not sure if I will have the time to do this all winter. My aim therefore is to get rid of all I can. I have a nice stash of quartz gold still. Prices for those will remain the same.
Here is what I am now charging for the placer gold cons, you can order them via my website or by pm'ing me here. Thanks to all for your business.

4 lbs Mother Nat. Cons

$16.00

20 lbs Mother Nat. Cons

$65.00

40 lbs Mother Nat. Cons

$130

I changed my website to reflect the new prices. Currently we're still able to work the hole where we're getting this. Winter in our area seems to be holding off a bit longer than normal. So get em while ya ca!

For those who have ordered from me, I will have everything shipped by tomorrow 18 Sept 2013. However I probably won't be emailing any tracking numbers until the next day due to the fact that I'll be out working a creek for the day. Quality of all my cons has remained and will remain top quality for the foreseeable future at least. My website again is http://alaskangoldpanningconcentratesguaranteedgold.yolasite.com
If you order please expect up to 2 business days for a tracking number. I'm trying to get them all out within one business day, I'm almost to that point! Thanks to everyone for your business.

For those of you who may want unsearched quartz, I still have plenty. I also have plenty of larger ore with a lot of gold in it. I keep finding specimens, but it's become boring because there's too many. Ok, just kidding it isn't boring! I stockpiled more before the snow started in the mountains, I should be able to supply everyone all winter. I will accomodate special orders, so pm me with yours and we'll make a deal.

Hey all, my partner is taking over my website while I shoot a tv show for CMT. We only have quartz. He has his whole stash remaining from the summer. Top quality, unsearched quartz. Quantities are limited, get it while you can. July 15, 2014 is basically when we will be back in the swing of things again getting more amazing quality ores and whatever else we come across next season.

Pics have been added to site at top to see what we have left. Gold quartz sizes as big as your fist!

No. It's about feuding taxi drivers, lol. They've had me running all over the place. However I am scouting for another a'hem...Big network. Pitched a new unique gold show, they're warm to it actually. Something along the lines of small-time professionals. I'd help put it together, not be in it. Working on that, need something for all you pros to watch. Not everyone can raise a half million dollars to start a huge op in Nome.
