It is a discount electronic components store, but if you type in "tantalum" into the search, there's close to 10,000 results for many different types "wet, dry, axial, etc" of tantalum capacitor that you can imagine. Most of them have pictures so you can see exactly what to look for also.

I may have a shipment heading your way within the next couple months "Tantalumrecycle", I've been saving all of the ones I find.

Hi all

Does anyone knows the weight of the capacitors from one reel of Tantalum SMD?

The reel weighs .35/Lb

Thank you for your answer, do you have a european partner company? I am asking this because of the high shipping cost from France to US

Please contact us by email at -- [email protected], we will advise where to ship this material.

Hello thank you very much for indicating that you will be sending us a shipment of Tantalum Capacitor Scrap --- Even though there are many different model numbers and types of Tantalum Capacitors we have tried our best to make things simple --

If you would look at our link for different pictures of Tantalum Scrap's that we purchase - the pictures would provide an easier way of sourcing out which types are which.

Yes he will deal and a quantity of that size. It is best to email him because he does not get on the forum very much.

I've said it before... cut it open if you wonder what's inside.

When I run into unknown components I cut them in half on the spot (using cutting pliers). It shows me if it's worth to remove that and any other like it from the card.

Open one that you know positively that it's a tantalum, for example a surface mounted yellow or black rectangular seen earlier in this thread. Those are easily found in modern electronic scrap.

Hard metal slug / pellet = tantalum
Metal foil = aluminum
Brown to black fragile = some type of ceramic component, possibly MLCC
