You can easily refine Gold from electronics without Nitric.
Dissolving thin Gold can be done with HCl/Bleach, HCl/Chlorine or HCl/Peroxide for example.

Just be careful, small aditions and often pH checks.
The pH should not get higher than 4-5 and when finished drop it appr 1-2.

When your adding bleach your ph will change. (Higher possibly 4-5)
When its done and your ready to drop your gold from solution it needs to be more acidic (Lower possibly 1-2)

One tip: for AP ( acid peroxide), you do not need peroxide! strange, but true. it is copper chloride that etches the copper metal.
