Saw maybe 30 turkeys so far today. All hens that I could make out. Also two young does playing around. 20241230_104932~2.JPG

The place we hunt is primarily corn, soy beans and acorns. They do get a fair mix of fruits at times, especially muscadine, persimmons and apples when in season. We can get a feeder license and we do run corn at times, especially in bad winters.

Sage brush just does not make good meat, grass fed isn't to bad. I last hunted Colorado in the early 1980's and doubt it is the same today as was it was back then.

Never prospecting or hunting alone.
I was prospecting for gold with is a friend in Colorado
in the northwestern sector.

it was good prospecting , But I starting feeling something weird and we notice some kind of different sign on some tree
particular the smell around some of those tree.

it was so cold and so quiet in that place that we bump to it,
and it was in september ,very weird .

We were Following a very interesting small creek ,We found ourselves in that very quiet place.
We saw some shadows in between the tree lines.
even when we are always armed.
we retreat to a better position where we can have better view of the place and part of the mountain.

We judging is Not wise to camp there.
Instead ,We choose to walk out off there
even when cost us almost all night long
to get out off those mountains range.

We avoid any confrontation with those things ,who or whatever they are.

By Not camping there with those very dark shadows in our back watching us all day long.

it was a very uneasy scenario
those thing were trying to cut us out off the main route and to push us to walk into very desolate it place.

we won’t fall into that nasty trap.
and get ourselves ready for defend us
and keep walking in our planned route

we even shoot twice in the air to let them know that we are ready to defend ourselves .
we won’t get back there never again.

always be aware of your surroundings
and Always be ready to defend yourself.

there is very weird stuff going on in many states

always be aware of Your surroundings.

Nothing like looking back and seeing a bear watching from 20 yards away. It can sure get the heart rate up quick.
I agree with You
is a very scaring scenario.

But the things that were watching us.

we’re bigger than Grizzly bears.

the way that some tree were fall into some sign positions was very incomparable that a bear do to mark their territories.

some small tree were twisted into some position that was incompressible.

the way those dark shadows move in a semi circle and trying to push out off the route
it was very concerning and even scary.

because only a very smart creature can do that.

in order for us to continue in our route
we have to shoot into the air
otherwise we have to move to a part of the mountains were there was no route to get out .

and that was exactly what those things want us to do.

and where was 3 or 4 of them.
