Never have refined Gold or any other metal.
To learn how to refine, process and search for precious metals
I discovered this site by reading comments on a YT channel (Sreetips) and have been lurking for a bit.

Currently working in NW Romania for the next two months. Have Sundays off and want to find gold from the Aries river here. Anyone know if I'd get in trouble for gold panning?

Howdy, my name is Johnathan (John is fine) I live in Maine
I’m a jack of all trades type I suppose, started refining small amounts of gold for the simple purpose of not buying it for my glassblowing projects and now I refine metal more than I’m on my torch. That was about 7 or so years ago now. I’ve read through/have a copy of Hokes books and I’ve gone through many times of trail and error. So I’ve got a. good level of knowledge. I’m hoping being a part of this community will help me kind of close some gaps and tighten up my refining. I’ve googled my way onto this forum a good amount of times and heard good things in YouTube videos and other sites. There’s been many times I’ve wanted to ask a question or get a new perspective on what/how I was doing. So I hope to expand my knowledge and maybe help someone else do the same if possible.
Looking forward to being a part of the conversations/community here.
